Minicom setup

Setting up minicom has always caused me hastle... follow these steps:

1. install minicom with your favourite package manager $ yum install minicom
2. add any users that want to make use of serial ports to the dialout and uucp group (on Fedora 12.0)
3. create /etc/minirc.* files with group set to dialout and permissions of 664
4. to configure minicom use $ minicom -s [config] this will not open the port
5. for a serial port, not a modem, enter minicom configuration -> modem and dialing and clear fields A-L
